En réponse à la visite de Leonardo di Caprio en Indonésie et à ses posts alarmistes sur Instagram au sujet des dangers de la déforestation et du braconnage, le gouvernement indonésien a vivement réagi en menaçant de le blacklister. Je cite Heru Santoso, le porte-parole indonésien de la Direction Générale de l'immigration et des Droits de l'Homme : «We support his concern to save the Leuser ecosystem," Santoso said. "But we can blacklist him from returning to Indonesia at any time if he keeps posting incitement or provocative statements in his social media».

Extrait du Figaro : D'autres représentants politiques ont même insisté sur le fait que Leonardo DiCaprio ne possédait qu'un unique visa touristique, devant alors se contenter de simples excursions. «Si ses objectifs sont différents et qu'il viole l'ordre public en portant préjudice aux intérêts du pays, les services d'immigration sont prêts à l'expulser», a même indiqué à la Republika Ronny Sompie, responsable en charge de l'immigration.
